ensemble

The activities of the ensemble, which are conducted by the artistic direction of Carlo Ipata, till their beginning in 1997 are characterized by the research on the Tuscan index of the Renaissance and the Baroque Age.
Thanks to numerous first modern performances, the productions that have been realized until now have allowed the reconstruction of some important pages of Tuscan musical history, showing the relationships that have been hold between the local and the European composers.
The activity of the ensemble has grown in quality and quantity till it has become a Project which is called Tesori Musicali Toscani [Tuscan Musical Treasures]. The Tuscan Musical Treasures Project is supported by Public and Private Subjects and is in Residence at the Verdi Theatre of Pisa.
The members of AuserMusici, which have a great training and experience in early music, and which come from different Italian towns, meet regularly. They arrange precisely the musical programmes with some musicologists.

The productions of AuserMusici are the result of a complex research that addresses a large public by involving musicologists and musicians in the analysis and comparison of original texts. The productions consist of recordings, seminars, lectures/concerts and editions (on paper and online).
The recent tours in Germany (Berliner Tage für Alte Musik, Alte Live Musik - Musikinstrumentenmuseum Berlin), France (Festivoce), U.S.A. (Miami Baroque Festival), Spain (Celebrations of Boccherini), as well as the interest of the international magazines as Klassik Heute, Early Music Magazine, Le Monde de la Musique, Repertoire, Diapason, Goldberg Magazine for Ausemusici’s recordings are both demonstrating the importance of the work of AuserMusici on the tuscan repertoire of the 17th and 18th century.
